To help mark its 40th anniversary the European Management Assistants Association (EUMA) is helping send 40 disadvantaged children on “an unforgettable vacation”.
EUMA Luxembourg is supporting the “Rail 4 Kids Snow” project run by the Benelux branch of French train operator SNCF and the NGO Caritas Luxembourg. Rail 4 Kids Snow will send the children aged 8 to 13 on a ski holiday at the Domaine du Val Ubaye in the French Alps from 28 December 2014 until 3 January 2015.
Organisers already have funds for 30 children and are looking to raise money for the final ten, according to the initiative’s website (in French and Dutch).
Here in Luxembourg EUMA members are contributing cash to help kit out the kids. The group has already has €500 for warm clothing, and they are now looking for donations of €15 “to buy sun cream for each child”, EUMA’s Jane Barton told Delano.
Donations can be made via bank transfer to the EUMA account: BGL BNP Paribas IBAN LU95 0030 8929 0756 0000 with your name and the text “Rail4Kids”.
“Our sun creams and the cheque for €500 will be presented at a special ceremony at IKKI in Clausen on the evening of December 11th,” said Barton.
